    The Pixel tablet is clearly overpriced, but comparing $500 tablets with an iPad twice the price isn’t exactly useful. Compare it with the baseline iPad instead, which is priced very similarly.

    Realistically, if you’re getting an Android tablet, look at Samsung. You’ll probably want to wait for a black Friday deal (true for any tablet, to be honest) but Dex is such a game changer.

      Give it a year or two and it’ll be $130-200. I love buying older pixels later in their lifetime because the devices are still pretty good but they’re discounted 60%+ off. Plus you can always root them easily for extra longevity.

        I swipe down the quick toggles tray and click the Dex button. It opens what looks like a polished Linux window environment with apps and opening any app will open up the app in a window with fullscreen/minimize/transparency controls.

        Dex also works for Galaxy phones if you hook it up to a monitor through a dock/dongle.
