They don’t care and can’t be bothered to update their app. Leaving a review and uninstalling seems like a fine approach for the dozens, maybe hundreds of people who care about this as much as you do. Don’t expect developers to care, though. This is a very minor feature request.

It literally does take 60 seconds to do. It also is incompetence if you’re not up to date on the latest Android design guidelines.
