Sorry for double commenting but you could also try this instead of the aur nvidia-beta package
And I’d generally recommed using -dkms versions of the nvidia driver

[ 1711.740] (EE) NVIDIA: system’s kernel log for additional error messages and
Maybe try this then? Kernel log can be read via
$sudo dmesg
or
$journalctl -k
I’d recommend journalctl, best to also append -b to only get the kernel logs for the current boot
For easier navigation enter a / and input nvidia, this will search your journal. Press n to go to the next result and shift + n to go to the previous one
I installed the nvidia-beta drivers (Arch) and tested out Starfield. All is good. Then next time I try to startx, I get X failed to start etc.
Did you reboot after changing to the beta driver? If you did not you were still using the previously installed nvidia driver, unless you manually reloaded the nvidia kernel modules via rmmod and modprobe (I’d discourage doing this though, rebooting is way less error prone)
I’m surprised this works at all check out Suspend and Suspend on Nvidia
Try creating a tvshow.nfo only containing the TheMovieDB link in your root House of cards folder
Do the same for each season folder, naming the file season.nfo and paste the corresponding TheMovieDB season links into them
Download Magisk from github and just flash it like you did your custom rom. You need to redo this after each rom update/reflashing your recovery. Afterwards open the Magisk app and follow the onscreen instructions (install via root)
Although this method of installing Magisk is not recommended anymore it’s the only one that worked for me. Following the regular instructions always ends in a bootloop/non responsive display for me
That’s no biggi, look into SafetyNet fix, MagiskHide Props config and Shamiko (they’re all Magisk modules)
That’s one of the reasons I had for changing to Evolution X rom. Also my battery lifetime doubled (Mi 11)
Would recommend looking into custom roms and rooting if you really want to pimp her phone ;)
If you have a pc/android you can use this: https://github.com/wescode/lemmy_migrate
I’d install my OS on the faster M2 and games on the slower one because most games won’t load any faster on a M2 vs a normal SSD. They’re mostly limited by other factors
If you have a firewall running on your ubuntu server you need to allow tcp connections on port 8096 for your local network
You should brush before breakfast to remove the bacteria from your mouth that breaks your teeth in combination with sugar
You’re welcome
Have fun playing Starfield :)
