I had an ISP do the same when I moved out of an apartment in 2016. I still get calls from a collection agency. The number is blocked but if I check my “blocked calls” log it’s been nearly every weekday for 8 years.

Hello,promitheas
Welcome to Linux Community.
It sounds like you are experiencing some quality issues using Microsoft forums, could you please provide some details to let us assist you better:
1->General System Information: Could you provide some details about your PC’s hardware specifications? Specifically, the processor, amount of RAM, and the graphics card you are using.
2->System File Check: When you say you automatically checked system files, did you use the built-in System File Checker (SFC) tool? Did it report any issues, or did it indicate that everything was fine?
3->Event Viewer: In the Event Manager, can you provide more specific details about the critical errors you see? For example, the exact error messages and any associated error codes.
Have you researched the specific error messages you found in the Event Manager (e.g., Application Error, Application Hang, Windows Error Reporting, DbxSvc, DistributedCOM, nvlddmkm)? Understanding these errors can often provide clues about the root cause of the problem. In the meantime, are you getting a blue screen on your device, and if it’s convenient, try to see if a small dump file has been generated in the corresponding path, which you can upload and share with me-<Read small memory dump files - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn>
4->Cooling and Hardware Issues: Have you noticed any unusual temperature increases while running games or any other hardware-related issues like unusual fan noises or system freezes?
5->Rollback to Previous Windows Version: If the issue started immediately after switching to Windows 11, have you considered rolling back to your previous Windows version temporarily to see if the crashes persist?
The five points of detail above are intended to give me a better understanding of the situation so that I can give potential advice and solutions.
Best regards,

I had to create an account on a government website. The website didn’t list a character limit so I used a password manager to generate a 32 character password. My account was created but I couldn’t log in. I used the “forgot my password” option and I received an email of my password in plain text. I also noticed why I couldn’t log in. The password was truncated to just 20 characters. Brilliant website! Tax dollars at work!
Mid 20s is way too young to be experiencing chronic pain caused by normal aging. That being said, it can be caused by being out of shape. If you’re not eating right, keeping active, and keeping a regular sleep schedule then the pain might be because of your lifestyle. If you dont think you’re out of shape, then you definitely need to talk to different healthcare providers and stress how your chronic pain is interfering with your life.
Everything is 0s and 1s to a computer. What a pattern of 0s and 1s encodes is decided by people–often arbitrarily. Over the years there have been attempts to standardize encodings but, for legacy reasons, older encodings are still valid.
The 0s and 1s that encode ’ in UTF-8 (a standardized encoding) are the same 0s and 1s that encode ’ in CP-1252 (a legacy encoding).
The symbol is shown when the 0s and 1s don’t encode anything of meaning.

My work has barrels full of IPA. Unfortunately, isopropyl alcohol doesn’t taste great.
The hivemind comes from people caring too much about their votes or karma. Nobody likes seeing their post or comment downvoted to oblivion so they’ll play things safe and just post something they know everyone will agree with. I’m not sure you can have a voting system without having some kind of a hivemind.
I have over 100 communities in my block list. I scroll through All and if I see a community over and over that I truly don’t care about I just add it to the block list. Scrolling through All becomes a way to find new communities I like instead of being 500 posts I don’t care about
Meanwhile, Trump is claiming Google is interfering with his campaign by not including “Donald Trump” in autocomplete suggestions and has threatened to shut the company down.
Yeah the end of the video mentions that. They say that from the perspective of a heartless economist, Germany is going to be fine, but that doesn’t mean all Germans are going to be fine.
So uhhh welcome to the club? You now get to hear your politicians brag about how well your economy is doing while the quality of life of your people slowly declines.
I found this Economics Explained video on the German economy pretty interesting. They suggest that Germany is losing its edge when it comes to advanced manufacturing but that isn’t really as bad as it sounds. America and China are massive economies and neither specializes in advanced manufacturing but in international trade. They suggest that Germany is simply moving into becoming another country that specializes mostly in international trading instead of producing things domestically.
I’m assuming they mean tracking Linux users is difficult since most distributions don’t have any kind of telemetry or tracking and there’s no company keeping track of their user count like Microsoft or Apple. However, it’s not like it’s impossible.
I did contract negotiations for a while. Something that I always remember being told was “you can’t be more excited to sign than the other person”. It’ll lead to you making bad deals. If the other side doesn’t want to sign, neither do you.
My boss always said he preferred no contract over a bad contract. I once suggested that even a contract that pays out a bit is better than nothing. He countered by saying there’s an opportunity cost in fulfilling a contract. We could be too busy fulfilling poor contracts that we have no time to negotiate and accept good ones. In that case, a poor contract could be seen as less valuable than nothing. I’ve had negotiations that lasted less than 15 minutes. I give a standard quote, they’d lowball, I’d say there’s no way, they said they’d leave, I say here’s the door. Done.
Have you tried mixing in a 1/4 cup of non-toxic glue?
That’s not workplace drama, you’ve described interacting with people. It’s difficult to say if it’s always been like this but social media hasn’t helped. People are now used to expressing their beliefs and opinions to everybody, no matter how polarizing or unpopular they might be. It’s not limited to the workplace.
For not caring about what people think, just remember that nobody’s opinion matters. Your favourite colour is yellow? Cool. You don’t like Taylor Swift? Great. You think all atheists should be killed? Neat. Opinions are like points on Whose Line Is It Anyway. They’re made up and they don’t matter.

It’s called xenophobia, the fear and dislike of anything foreign. Some people believe that if your group isn’t dominant it will be dominated, and peaceful coexistence isn’t possible between different groups.
These people are afraid that, if the English language isn’t forced onto other people, one day other people will force a foreign language onto them.

I pull my credit report yearly. The ISP was never on it. Even if it was, after 7 years accounts are removed from your report.
