This is what I was thinking, too.
I could have been much happier not knowing this.

Around here it was made illegal to chalk the tires. Now they chalk the ground right next to the tire but I never figured out how they know it’s not a different car by the time they come around. I’ve never seen different colored chalks either.
I don’t think that I would have ever have found that until I eventually moved.
I didn’t know that some companies did that.
I figured that unoccupied units would be a drive to lower rent to fill them, not keep them high and unused just to keep values up.
Rent is absolutely ridiculous. It’s been going up every year and I don’t see any sign of it stopping soon.
As it stands I could barely afford a 1-bedroom apartment (and that’s assuming just bare necessities and minimal food). Forget ever renting or even owning a house. But yet they can keep finding people willing to pay such high rent. I don’t know how.
I haven’t done it in a while but when I did it was a way to relax and unwind a bit.
Now though I haven’t had the luxury of time to do so.
It started off as one post and took off from there.
Let’s hope the ISPs don’t just pocket all the money like the last time.
