There’s so much good stuff nowadays.

Power metal. Most people seem to think it’s too cheesy.
Probably ‘Surrender’ by Billy Talent.
Honestly, my own. Meyers is pretty good, even if nobody knows how to spell it.
Water? I want a personal bathroom.
I ditched Amazon because I worked for them for almost two years and saw how they treat people. They care about nothing other than making as much money as they can and spending as little as possible to do it. They work people to the bone because it’s cheaper to have them quit and just hire someone else than it is to keep ‘em around and have ‘em eventually ask for a raise.
You did a thing, didn’t consider all of the consequences, and are now worried about saving face? You said yourself $200 isn’t a big deal for you. Just give her the money, Christ.

I recently tried to find the same thing and came up empty. What worked best (though with noticeable shortcomings) was simply making a spreadsheet and comparing prices I found online for the stores I could think of. What I found is that it takes a lot of time, some places don’t have their prices or even all their items on their websites, and that sometimes you end up spending a little (or a lot) more now in order to save money in the long run.
BUT. I also found that some things are consistently cheaper at certain places, and that if you bother to track individual items over time you can start to paint a pretty clear picture of what stores will have the cheapest items. Like, when it comes to chicken breasts and ground turkey, I’m going to Aldi almost every time. But for canned goods, my local H‑E‑B tends to fare a bit better, and is a good second choice for ground turkey.
She squirms when I gently mess with the little ringlets of hair on the back of her neck. It’s cute.
Not an acronym though, but an initialism. Acronyms are said like a word, like CRISPR, initialisms aren’t, like ATM.
It’s less about personal opinions and more how the government functions. Texas is a straight up hostile place to be if you’re anything but rich, male, straight, and white.
kbin.social. 😛
Am I your cat?
AtlasOS, easily. Makes my slightly-older PC run like new.
It’s one thing to be angry that someone did something wrong and to demand they be punished for it, it’s another thing entirely to continue being intolerant of them once they’ve accepted and ultimately finished that punishment. Our society has something against ex-cons (likely because our government does little to cut down on recidivism rates) but they’re just folks that’ve screwed up and did their time. Their debt to society has been paid.
In any case, what I was saying wasn’t that we should be tolerant of the intolerant. Quite the opposite. It makes no sense to tolerate others inhibiting the rights of others.
It is the perfect example of the paradox of tolerance.
Yep. Once the nazis start drinking at your bar, it becomes a nazi bar whether you wanted it to or not. Tolerance of the intolerant only breeds further intolerance. You gotta cut it off somewhere.
I truly do not care what anyone else believes, so long as it doesn’t lead them to inhibit the fundamental human rights of others.
Personally, I take pride in trying to see things from multiple points of view. Logic and reason are, more often than not, the things that drive my actions… to a degree. Obviously I’m not perfect nor have I ever claimed to be, but I do my best to think clearly and deduce the best course of action. That isn’t to say that I don’t get complacent, but I see no point in trying to deny anyone anything if they aren’t hurting anyone else. Treat others as you’d like to be treated and all that.
Gloryhammer comes to mind immediately. Battle Beast, too. And offshoots like Brothers of Metal and Unleash the Archers.
