I have a mechanical doorbell at my house that I adore. I’m never getting rid of it.
I tried then first N characters of my password until I found out the threshold was at 8, then I tried with the first 8 chartacters of my password and then random junk and it worked.
I also had two friends in the same bank to validate
a previous bank used to have a max password length of 8 characters, then proudly announced that they will increase it to 32
Then I made a typo at the end of my password and it let me in anyway, and I realised they were just trimming the first 8 characters to give the illusion of security
and to think there was plenty of no windows, no buy mentally when the Deck got announced. I cannot understand why would anyone go down the Windows route on a handheld, specially now that Linux has been so tried and tested
I actively avoid Amazon, however there’s a brand I really like that only sells through Amazon in my country, so I’ve used it a couple of times when I have no other choice.
I also have an audible account from before it was acquired by Amazon, idk if that counts, but I stopped paying for it over a decade ago
Interesting to see wormhole mentioned as non open source. The protocol and its CLI tools are, probably the web interface and GUIs are not
grayjay?
fzf does the job
I love Minisforum, I own 2 of them and I’m looking to buy a 3rd one. But damn their website is atrocious
dude, relax and play some MK
the other way around, Breezy is still under development and got a release two weeks ago
don’t be fooled by the name, KDE connect also works on GNOME and even Windows. It is a truly wonderful app
I never really understood this trend because it is something easy to do, or at least very easy to master with little practice. I honestly never got the appeal of it
Twice I’ve been blocked out of my account, the first time it was because I was accessing from too many different IP address (VPN). The second time.I didn’t even bother to contact support and was willing to loose my account.
Also, I recall many years ago in the early days of the app there was an app update that would straight up not work on my phone and had to sideload an old apk in order to keep using it. And according to google I wasn’t the only one.
Took me a few months of manually testing new updates until a newer version worked for me. Not to defend Facebook or Twitter, but a fuck up like that one would never make it past their QA teams.
People will still be able to screen record entire shows and use commercial skipping technology on it. It might even end up where popular channels end up getting distributed as pirated material through torrent
This already happened with YouTube Red exclusive shows and it will happen again
Xbox underground episode is wild
the doorbell is inside my house, the spring and pulleys too, he only bit exposed to the outside is a lever you pull to make the contraption move, it is kinda like the launcher on a pinball machine
