My only issue with Mint Cinnamon is it doesn’t have badges for notifications on app icons. For example, when you get a Discord message.
It’s a really weird omission.

I hated the walking physics in 4. It was like drunk mode the way he swayed around and delayed as you tried to switch directions.
I bet WW2 museum employees aren’t even real Nazis!
They don’t like immigrants and US citizens are starting to demand higher wages.
Gotta find new workers to exploit to keep wages low.
Not to brag, but my mom let me have her old palm pilot from work.
Guess I was pretty cool when I peaked 20 years ago.
Honestly I’m more disappointed that this isn’t the first time on Lemmy that I’ve seen someone delete a post and then try to make a big scene about how they didn’t like the responses they got and were giving up on a community.
Lemmy has so little content that your complaint post gets to be top of a community for a while, so that’s nice.
You’re not the main character, people are entitled to opinions, and you don’t have to care or take them personally. It’s the internet, there will always be someone who complains even if it’s entirely unwarranted.
This is one of my worries with a growing wealth disparity in the world.
The average person is starting to get priced out of any luxury entertainment because there are wealthy people with unreasonable amounts of money to throw at whatever they feel like.
There will always be rich people who can pay whatever price a company asks for.
Oooh. Thanks for that, makes more sense now.
There’s a reason everyone needs to be vaccinated.
But I don’t expect you to read that because if you wanted to understand reality, you would have already.
What do you use for tiling? I’ve been curious about this setup, but the software setup sounds like a pain compared to 2 monitors.

Edit: from XKCD
It’s not really clear whether the variance scales linearly with weight. We only know 1 data point. It could be bracketed for different weight groups.
It definitely doesn’t work like that.
Even 20 layers of that stuff is still like using wax paper to schmear melted chocolate.
“No style” hits hard. Hadn’t they done enough damage already?
Trying to translate from legal wording:
It sounds like the district court blocked the law due to first amendment violation. But Florida presented it to the Supreme Court as a question of how much power the district court has on enforcement, rather than an issue of first amendment violation. So the Supreme Court declined that aspect, and not the first amendment issue itself.
Does that sound right, or did I misunderstand?
It’s depressing that they sound eager to throw the first amendment under the bus if it’s presented.
Yeah voting on content has nothing to do with quality and everything to do with feelings.
People just vote for their side of any discussion, regardless of validity.
For me it’s just battery life at this point. Once that starts degrading significantly, I upgrade. It’d be nice if they still allowed you to access the battery easily.
I’m glad you said this. I was really confused by the meme stock phase.
As a consumer, they never felt like a great company to deal with. They were just convenient being located nearby. Trade-ins always felt like cons.
I still have to google search reddit when I’m looking for specific info like opinions on games. Unfortunately lemmy’s not reasonable to search, and Reddit has a much bigger userbase with a longer time to accumulate info about most topics.
Looking for office equipment recommendations on Reddit recently, every single thread had fake suggestions that were clearly advertiser accounts. They sounded incredibly fake like bots that pulled descriptions from Amazon, all had similar links with tracking, and all were upvoted to the top.
