Yeah I totally agree, I just find these reformist alt-media types to be useful because we can harness their ridiculous energy for law and finance and other difficult to navigate semi-bullshit fields

I will post a lot of stuff even from corny Liz Warren supporter-level breakdowns of corruption just because they are so obsessed. Even if they ultimately have no plan to deal with it.

I would say it’s not a sharp jump in the acceleration of open corruption in the USA, both uniparty candidates are garbage heaps of corruption. The only advantage to Trump is he is chaotic and could disrupt the transatlantic power structure with the move to make Europe pay for rearmament over Ukraine, as well as strengthen China by increasing the trade war. Jamie Dimon as treasury pick is similarly mask off depravity.

I’m not saying vote for either candidate of the uniparty people should be talking to greens or the PSL or just focus on local stuff. Ideally use the general to get people engaged outside of consuming political entertainment and casting a vote in a rigged election.

Not a huge fan of Ryan Grim to be honest. The Intercept is as bad as most mainstream papers at times. But this is a good article.

Not really. This is a result of people “forking” Reddit due to a real fork being dumb and impossible. Everyone brought the same site culture with them. Mastodon is cleanly divided between Eugene’s hellmouth of Twitter liberals and evil anime libertarians who should all be legally executed for their very real crimes. That wasn’t inevitable. This place seems tailor made for people with a functioning honor system. Internet points are an abomination. People need to inquire more seriously into what is grinding the gears with social media. Techno-libertarian idealism outlived its usefulness long ago. I certainly don’t have any better solutions than ActivityPub and private frontends.
