Just today, I was using windows on my laptop, playing a game made for windows, Black Ops. And it crashes every time I boot up the Call of the Dead. On linux, while it does stutter on that map depending on where i am, I can still play it surprisingly. Its very strange.

I will attempt to try the permissions solution, i will keep you all updated if it works.

While raytracing is kind of neat, and this is kind of neat, I don’t really get the hype around it. I mean, there are options to make a game’s lighting look like 90% as good as raytracing, and not require obscene amounts of power. It’s kind of how I feel about really high res textures. Sure, it looks nice if you really stare at is, but 99% of the time, half the texture res is going to look almost just as good, save tons of space and gpu power.

I guess what I’m really saying is, art style is far more important than actual graphical fidelity. Elite Dangerous looks far better than Starfield.

Doom 1993 I do not like Episode 2 very much. Episode 1 has masterful level design, and Episode 3 has the abstract hell levels that are visually interesting, even if they aren’t that great to play. Episode 2 is just kind of boring. It does have the Tower of Babel tho, that’s a highlight.

While I agree that most the big youtubers are overrated, I still really like Markiplier for some reason. Idk, he just kinda grew up with me and he still plays games. Plus I like Distractable.

No, but I don’t want to rule it out completely. I there is, it’s probably nothing like anyone has every thought about. There’s a lot about the universe we don’t know. I think it’s a bit foolish to claim for certain things when we know so little about the universe. One day, it might be possible to measure the soul with scientific equipment, and future people may look back on us and think, “Wow, they actually believed they were only organic, not even realizing they have a quantum soul,” the same way we look back at people who thought the earth was the center of the universe.

The world is a complicated place, and what we say now may look foolish or ahead of its time 100 years from now.

I mean, I was a 25B in the army, which could be counted as technical, except that after training I pretty much never saw another army computer and became a radioman.
