The server’s embrace, it turns cold,
An SSL error, its tale is told
I wonder if in my attempt to be vaguely clever I’ve dug a much more significant hole than if I’d just been patient…
Apparently the Third head of the Hydra, Memelord of Qo’noS (!risa@startrek.website)

please explain
What happened? Give the internet stranger juicy details please, I’m bored
What is this “firefox” you speak of? Is it some sort of chrome addon, like my 45 convert to pdf addons?
Yep! (If it’s relevant to my search)
They don’t get ad money otherwise (I assume that’s what you were getting at right?)
My friend… have you heard of our lord and savior downloadmoreram.com? You can DOWNLOAD more ram FOR FREE!
Have you considered downloading more ram?
No I block trackers but I do still get ads on Ecosia
I personally use Ecosia, it’s got a pretty decent privacy policy (esp compared to google/microsoft) and it uses Bing’s index so the results are pretty good. The main selling point is they use 100% of their profits for planting trees. The quality of the results is 99% of the time fine but if I ever get something I can’t find (or if I’m doing an image search) you can just add #g to your search to search google.
It’s overall a pretty good search engine by itself, but the fact it plants trees pushes it leagues ahead of the others for me
I actually don’t mind the pixel bar, I’m not starstruck over it but it looks pretty decent and does an amazing job at distinguishing itself
Am I the only one who finds those and other similar massive camera modules ugly?
Think of the child processes! What will they do?
Check out Photon! It works on desktop and on mobile (as a PWA) and it’s great! The dev is super active too!
Reddit should be able to tell by the number of different accounts that connect through an IP like that that it’s not a home wifi network and treat it accordingly, the question is do they actually do that (probably cuz otherwise you’d never be able to connect through a VPN lol)
I would think so, unless you used a VPN or your IP changed (or if you used IPv6 I think)
That and: Companies are stuck with Adobe
More like terrifying
This would be you:
(Extra Fabulous Comics)
I try to keep my images separate from my instance in case something happens to it (and because I like having control/it’s fun), but I overcomplicate it and host an image server myself lol. That’s not much help though, so I’d reccomend finding an image host (not catbox-they seem to have bandwidth issues) like https://postimages.org/ or something. Try to find something that’s been around for a while/isn’t going to shut down
the Ditto clipboard manager
It lets me keep track of all my clipboard history without having to use microsoft’s
only thing is I have to remember to go back and delete a password after I copy it, but luckily bitwarden can autofill most of the time
